Markus Gafner, previously Head of Development, was promoted to Deputy Managing Director back in August 2025. We are pleased to announce that he will now take over as Managing Director in the course of 2026.

Willi Schmidiger, founder and owner of the company, will then gradually withdraw from the operational business and in future will mainly be active in an advisory role and in the caretaking of key customers.

Markus Gafner has been part of our team since April 2022. With a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, he not only brings in-depth specialist knowledge, but also fresh ideas and drive for the further development of our company.

We are looking forward to the future together and would like to thank Willi Schmidiger for his great commitment and visionary leadership over the years.

Schmidiger Funklösungen specializes in the development and production of innovative radio and electronic solutions with various technologies and associated control systems as complete solutions. We develop and produce solutions for various applications in the fields of radio, power electronics, tracking and localization.
